I recently had one of those “aha” moments during a conversation on The Baggage Be Gone podcast, and I thought that it was worth sharing with you!
Tammy, the host, invited me to talk about something close to my heart—the role of mindset in business success. We ended up diving deep into the real, behind-the-scenes struggles that so many of us face as ambitious business woman.
And let me tell you, it got real, fast!
I opened up about a part of my journey I haven’t shared much before—what it was like when I decided to step back from my 20+ years of running a successful company. My identity had been so tied to that business, I wasn’t sure who I’d be without it. Have you ever felt like that? Where your business is you, and the thought of letting go feels almost impossible?
I also unpack how I navigated that transition and why it’s so crucial to untangle your personal worth from your business. Spoiler alert: it’s hard work, but it’s also incredibly freeing.
One big takeaway I shared (and something I wish I’d known years ago) was how important it is to stop hustling for the sake of hustling. I realised that most of us stay stuck in "go mode" because we’re scared to stop—scared of failure, of disappointing others, or of losing momentum.
But here’s the thing: when we learn to trust ourselves and set boundaries, real growth happens.
Tammy and I also talked about a simple shift that made a world of difference for me and my clients. It’s all about identifying the top three things that will truly move the needle in your business each day. When you stop trying to do all the things and focus on just those key tasks, you create real momentum—and a lot more clarity.
It was such a refreshing conversation. One that left me reflecting on how mindset, strategy, and a bit of soul-searching can truly transform the way we show up for our business.
If you’ve been feeling like you’re juggling a million things and not making the progress you’d hoped for, or maybe you’re just curious about how to mix mindset with practical strategy, I’d love you to take a listen to this podcast. We went deep on some game-changing ideas, and I think you’ll walk away with something that you could use in your business journey. 💡
